Toys for Kids from 1-92!
November 19 – December 31, 2011
At the AACA Museum in Hershey
Hershey, PA (11/2/2011). It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and it’s time to bundle up and show up to an event which will surely put you in a cheery, festive mood. Bring the family to the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum in Hershey to celebrate and join in the festivities. We’ve planned a decorative holiday atmosphere in order to excite the inner child in you! Our holiday displays are vast this year, including several model train sets throughout the building including: The Polar Express, Hershey Trolley, Tuckerville Roads to Rails display featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and the highly interactive Chuggington Station Wooden Railway to name a few.
What would the holidays be without the traditional holiday movie “It’s A Wonderful Life”? We will be showing this movie at our indoor drive-in theatre and display the actual Ernie’s Taxi used in the filming of the movie!
Get lost in our Winter Wonderland but “find” some friends in our Grinch scavenger hunt. Throughout your visit at the Museum, stroll down memory lane and stumble upon some of our other friends; Exotic cars, Fire Trucks, Hot Rods, Motorcycles, Buses, Pedal Cars, Dolls, Hot wheels and Hess trucks too! Once you’ve got your bearings, jump in to one of our unique photo stop cars and capture a memorable holiday photo to share with friends and family.
Children and adults alike will revel to get their photo taken with our new character – Sammy the Super Snowplow! Sammy is a 1967, four wheel-drive Walter Snowplow, weighing it at more than 21 tons, with a 320 hp diesel-powered Cummins engine, who is 29 ½ feet long! Sammy loves cold weather so you’ll find him outside on the Museum grounds and he’s always smiling– so if you don’t bring yours, we promise you’ll have one on the way out.
While you’re on the way out stop by our Dog House Garage Store, we’re guaranteed to have your specialty shopping in the bag for all your holiday gift giving needs including: HARVEYS original Seatbelt purses, custom automotive home décor, Byers Caroler figures and Chuggington Station Wooden Railway to name a few. Or, find the perfect diecast model of your dream car and purchase it until you can buy the real thing!
In the spirit of the holiday season, the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum is again teaming up with Carry the Light Ministries of Mechanicsburg for the fifth consecutive year to help sponsor a Food & Toy “DRIVE”. At the AACA Museum, a donation truck will be parked in the Museum’s lobby from now – December 17th and we’re asking visitors to help us “fill the truck” with donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, or toys.
