American Civil War Wax Museum | Gettysburg, PA
Nearly 100 wax and vinyl figurines will soon be going up for bid as The American Civil War Wax Museum in Gettysburg goes through a transformation.
The museum will close and then reopen as the Gettysburg Heritage Center later this year. As part of the change, the museum will be auctioning off the figures on March 15. The figures could go for a few hundred, or even a few thousand dollars.
The figures were originally made about 50 years ago by a company in Maryland. President Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, Gen. Lee and Gen. Grant are among the figures. Museum staff said all of the figures were made to represent real people and historical figures.
The new museum will shift its focus to what civilian life was like in Gettysburg before, during and after the battle. To get more information about the museum and to see when you can go visit their website.
