Lancaster County is home to a lot of family owned and historical farmers markets that dot our beautiful landscape ! There is Roots Market, the oldest family owned, continuously running market in Lancaster County. We also have the Central Market right in the heart of Downtown Lancaster that is the oldest continuous running market in the United States. Come visit Lancaster County and get a taste of all of the wonderfully locally grown produce.

Lancaster Central Market: 23 North Market St Lancaster, PA

In the heart of Downtown Lancaster in Penn Square, Lancaster Central Market is the oldest Farmer’s Market in America. Since the 1730s merchants have came from the farmlands of Lancaster County to provide fresh meats and produce to the “city folk” that live in the city. Things have changed throughout the years so nowadays there is not only local foods available here but foods from all over the world as well as crafts, flowers and as always friendly conversation. Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market: 2710 Old Philadelphia Pike Bird-In-Hand, PA

Indoor, air-conditioned farmers market: Dream come true right !  Come out to the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country and experience this farmers market in Bird-In-Hand, PA. You can get anything from spices to lingerie here at the Bird-In-Hand farmers market, there are dozens of shops within this indoor facility so there will not be a minute of boredom. The Bird-In-Hand farmers market is open Friday & Saturday, year round; Wednesday, April through November; Thursday: July through October from 8:30am- 5:30pm. Cherry Hill Orchards is a family run orchard that has delighted Lancasterians for over 40 years ! With one thirds of their orchards specifically grown for the “pick your own'” specials year round. During different times of the year you can pick seasonal fruits and get a really good price for them too. In addition to the pick your own, there are the Cherry Hill outlets and of course the year round special events for the kids.
