Lancaster County Amish
Lancaster County is knows at the PA Dutch Country, and with good reason. We are home to the oldest Amish communities in the United States. There is plenty to see in and around Lancaster County but probably the most humbling and educational is to learn about the Amish. The Amish live a simple life with no electricity which means no phones, cars or electric as a source for heating or air conditioning. To many it may seem taboo to live such a lifestyle but that is the way that it had been done for centuries before and they have kept it going.
There is plenty to try when it comes to the Amish. There are horse and buggy rides, their food, you could even tour a Amish village to see what it would be like to live like an Amish. You can go onto the PA Dutch Country website to see more attractions that you can visit.
