of an Abolitionist

Noon — Thaddeus Stevens: Leader in Congress’s Journey to Full Emancipation by Prof. Beverly Palmer, editor of
Thaddeus Stevens’s Collected Papers.

1:00 p.m. — Buffet Lunch

2:00 p.m. — Thaddeus Stevens as Portrayed in Films by Ross Hetrick, president of the Thaddeus Stevens Society.

Dedication of Wayside Sign in front of Stevens Hall in 300 Block of Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA

Remarks by: Alex Munro, director of Alumni Association at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology
Ross ; Hetrick, president of the Thaddeus Stevens Society and Dr. Bradley Hoch, author of Thadeus Stevens in Gettysburg: The Making of An Abolitionist.

Thaddeus Stevens Exhibit at Gettysburg College‘s Musselman Library

Immediately after the dedication of the wayside sign, there will be a reception at the College’s Musselman Library
where an exhibit of Thaddeus Stevens artifacts will be unveiled. This is the most extensive collection of Stevens items
ever assembled and includes Stevens’s wig and clubfoot boot, period newspapers and letters, a stove produced at
Stevens’s Caledonia iron mill and a video of movie clips that portrayed Thaddeus Stevens.
