November 3, 2011 4thAnnual 5k MAG Fall Flash
Hosted by the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center

The course for this event is a popular one – it crosses the Susquehanna River via the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Rt. 462) between Lancaster & York County which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event. Enjoy the scenic course against the fall foliage of the river valley. The Run begins in Wrightsville at 8:30 am and finishes in “record time” against this autumn backdrop. Pre-registration is available. T-shirts guaranteed to the first 250 registrants. Participants may also register on the day of the Run beginning at 7:30 am. The Run is held rain or shine. Sunday, November 4, 2012 9th Annual Iron Furnace Walking Tour
Dr. June Evans will lead a three-hour walking tour of the iron furnace ruins between Columbia and Marietta. Space is limited. Cost $5 per adult includes: water, a snack, and a booklet about the history of the furnaces. Call Claire Storm at 717- 684-2489 for reservations.

Marietta Restoration Associates are proud to host one of the oldest, continuous holiday walking tours in Pennsylvania. A splendid array of 8 private homes, public buildings, and a variety of special events make this a tour you will not want to miss. A Colonial Tea, Table Decorating Workshop, Antique Show, Strolling Carolers, and Restoration Cafe make this more than just a tour! Funds generated by the Tour are utilized in the maintenance and preservation of Old Town Hall, Union Meeting House, the Bank Building, restoration of the Historic Marietta Theater project, and Musselman/Vesta Office Building. Free parking and convenient shuttle bus service. Advance tickets are $17 or $20 day of the tour.
