This concert highlights music that represents the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Music selections will include Jacques Offenbach’s “Overture to La Belle Helene,” Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini” and Howard Hanson’s “Symphony No. 2 Op. 30 ‘Romantic’.”Rachmaninoff’s piece will feature a piano accompaniment by Shelly Moorman-Stahlman.Hershey Medical Center formed the orchestra in 1969 as a chamber ensemble, which has grown to more than 80 members. It is one of the largest volunteer orchestras in the country and consists of members from various age groups throughout Central Pennsylvania.
