I rarely send comments, either good or bad, concerning hotel stays.  The staff at the Fairfield Inn Lancaster however, warrant special note.  From the initial reservation phone call to check-in and departure I have seldom encountered such helpful and friendly staff … anywhere!  My compliments to them on their professional and outstanding service.

My husband is disabled and would sometimes go to breakfast by himself. The ladies on duty always helped him get his food to the table etc. since his hands were occupied with his walker.

We have family in the area and travel there about once a year. We will definitely return when the occasion warrants. The rooms were comfortable and laid out well. Everything was clean and fresh.

When we arrived we were much later than we planned. The front desk operator was so kind and she even got us a cup of milk so we would not have to hunt down a convenience store late at night.

Another good choice in that area is nearby Homewood Suites Lancaster, PA.

Best family Hilton in NY/NJ/PA/CT/MA

Looking for 3 day getaway for family with 2 kids (7 and 10) at Hilton Hotel to spend some points using the VIP points for 4 nights
Any recommendations 5 hours from NYC
Nothing in big cities like NYC, Boston, PA, DC
Something with a few pools, basketball/other???
I stayed in Ocean City, MD Hilton Suites and it was good

Any recommendations??

How about Harrisburg, PA. Small city, close to Lancaster and Gettysburg for family jaunts. I live here and lots of great things. Kids that age will LOVE Knoebels park, family atmosphere, no admission

Good choice and easy 3hr drive on I-78 from NYC.   Just did the drive last week.
Another good choice in that area is nearby Homewood Suites Lancaster, PA.  Smack in middle of charming Amish country, and near Dutch Wonderland amusement park and an outlet mall. Lots of family vacationers in summer.

Clean, fresh, room layout. Bath should be off the living room. Location is fine about 10 minutes to Dutch Wonderland. Stayed for 3 nights with a 6 and 2 year old. The room layout was great with 2 beds in a separate bedroom. I would only suggest that the bathroom should be off the main room vs off the bedroom. The hotel is very clean and appears almost new. Beds were nice and room was super clean. Very comfortable. Separate living room with kitchen was great to lounge or have a meal in. -/- ADDRESS: -/- Overall Rating: 98 -/- %Recommended: 100% -/- Total Reviews: 17

To Whom It May Concern,
This past weekend the Monroe Township New Jersey 15 year old boys soccer team, parents and siblings descended upon your hotel and took it over! We had a party in your breakfast room, took over your sofas in the lobby for part of Saturday and Sunday and crowded around the pool area in the late afternoon one day. You were so patient with us!
The ladies at the front desk were marvelous!! They were most helpful and supportive when we planned our Saturday evening party. My son lost his cell phone in one of his friend’s rooms and we all searched and searched. Front desk clerk, Barbara was so kind and reassuring and called me several hours after we left on Sunday to say that one of the maids had found the phone.
Thanks to your dedicated, kind, thoughtful and loyal staff, our stay was wonderful! We commend your patience and you aided in making our trip (and soccer losses) fun!! Thanks so much.

Each of the staff on the desk assisted us ably and readily no matter what the question or need. The manager was equally responsive and resourceful. The woman who prepared and presented the food did an excellent job and was willing to provide anything we requested. Every one we encountered was congenial and exceptionally friendly.

The entire front desk staff was extremely accommodating from the time of our arrival. We were in town for a volleyball tournament with other team members’ families. Any request we had for team gatherings were honored. They definitely went over and above the call of customer service. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely stay there again just because of the staff.
